Original music created for this short 2d animation Entitled Escaping Emily. This is an emotional short with an interesting and unique animation style. I aimed to have a soft and subtle, yet emotive piece of music for the film. I wanted to focus the music towards a reflective feeling, something where you remember all the good times and bad times of life. It was a difficult challenge not to stray between being too emotionally positive or get too down trodden in tone. I wrote a melody that I felt expressed this correctly that is present throughout, played with slight variations and with contrasting backings to guide the film along as the girls move through the story.
